2006 Chevrolet Colorado Shift Interlock Solenoid

The procedure is to disable the SIR system, remove the steering column trim covers, disconnect the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator electrical connector, put the shift lever clevis into the neutral position, and then remove the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator.

The proper way is to install the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator onto the steering column jacket and the cable shift cam assembly, connect the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator electrical connector, adjust the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator, inspect the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator, install the steering column trim covers, and then enable the SIR system.

The procedure is to remove the transmission oil pan and filter, remove the 1-2 accumulator, remove the pressure control solenoid retainer, remove the pressure control solenoid, remove the 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoids, remove the 3-2 control solenoid retainer with a small screwdriver, and then remove the 3-2 control solenoid.

The proper way is to install the 3-2 control solenoid, install the 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoids, install the pressure control solenoid, install the 1-2 accumulator, and then install the transmission filter and oil pan.
