Q: How to remove the heater inlet hose?
A:
You can drain the cooling system, disengage tension on the heater inlet hose clamp at the heater pipe assembly, disconnect the heater inlet hose from the heater pipe assembly, disconnect the heater inlet hose from the underhood junction box retainer clip, disengage tension on the heater inlet hose clamp at the water pump, disconnect the heater inlet hose from the water pump and then remove the heater inlet hose from the vehicle.

You can install the heater inlet hose onto the vehicle, connect the heater inlet hose to the water pump, connect the heater inlet hose to the underhood junction box retainer clip and then disconnect the heater inlet hose to the heater pipe assembly.

Q: How to remove the heater pipes?
A:
You can recover the refrigerant from the air conditioning (A/C) system, remove the rear evaporator line assembly, release and reposition the heater inlet and outlet hose clamps using the J 38185, remove the heater pipe assembly to the heater core retaining bolt and then remove the heater pipe assembly from the vehicle.
