A:
The proper way is to remove the negative battery cable, the compartment trim plate, the audio amplifier, and the Body Control Module.
Q: How do you install the brake light switch?
A:
You need to connect the electrical connector to the stop lamp switch, snap the stop lamp switch onto the pushrod and install a new pushrod retainer on the brake pedal pin. Then use an 11 mm (7/16 inch) socket to push a new clip onto the pin, connect the negative battery cable and enable the SIR.
