You shall apply heat to the cylinder with a heat gun, hold the door shutter open with a paper clip or a similar item, inject small amounts of a recommended lubricant into the cylinder while holding the shutter door open, work the key into the cylinder repeatedly, and wipe away any excess lubrication.

The proper way is to press the lock cylinder in the outside door handle, retain the lock cylinder lever to the lock cylinder, and install the outside door handle, the front door water deflector, and the front door trim panel.

You shall remove the front door trim panel, the water deflector, the outside door handle, the clip that retains the lock cylinder lever to the lock cylinder, and the lock cylinder from the outside door handle.

The lubricants include lubricant GM P/N 12345120, 5 W 30 motor oil, and silicone spray GM P/N 1052276.
