Q: How do I remove the Tie Rod Adjuster?
A:
You should raise and support the vehicle, remove the outer tie rod, loosen the tie rod adjuster clamp bolt at the inner tie rod end of the tie rod adjuster and remove the inner tie rod adjuster from the inner tie rod.

Q: How do I remove the Tie Rod?
A:
You should remove the cotter pin at the ball stud, remove the nut from the ball stud, loosen the nut on the adjuster clamp, remove the ball stud and tie rod end from the tie rod assembly, inspect the tie rod end for damage, the tie rod end seals for excessive wear, the threads on the relay rod and the tie rod end for damage, the ball stud threads for damage, the adjuster tubes for bending or damaged thread, clean the tapered surfaces and clean the threads on the ball stud and in the ball stud nut.

Q: How do I install the Tie Rod Adjuster?
A:
You should use EP Chassis Lubricant, GM P/N 1052356 or equivalent, to lubricate the tie rod threads, use the same number of turns as counted in the removal procedure to thread the tie rod adjuster to the inner tie rod, install the outer tie rod and the tie rod adjuster clamp bolts, lower the vehicle and adjust the toe to the proper specification.
