A:
The proper way is to disconnect the battery negative cable, remove the air cleaner assembly and the drive belt, disconnect the regulator electrical connector, remove the generator front mounting bolts, the generator rear mounting bolt, the generator output (BAT) terminal nut, and then the generator.
