You should not place your fingers in front of the piston to catch or protect the piston while applying compressed air. This could result in serious injury.

You will need to use just enough air pressure to ease the piston out of the bore. You can damage a blown-out piston even with the padding.

You will need to remove two-thirds of the brake fluid from the master cylinder, raise the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel assembly, position a C-clamp around the outer pad and the caliper, then remove the C-clamp, the brake hose from the caliper, the mounting bolts, the caliper assembly, the brake pads, the bushings and the sleeves (RWD only), lastly replace any corroded bolts or sleeves but do not attempt to polish away any corrosion.

The recommended torque is 13 Nm (115-inch lbs.).

The recommended torque is 51 Nm (38 ft. lbs.).
