A:
The removal procedure is to disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the fuel pressure connection valve cap, relieve the fuel system pressure and then use a standard valve core tool to remove the valve core.

You can turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds, turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds, then turn ON the ignition, and inspect for fuel leaks.

Q: How to release the fuel pressure?
A:
You can disconnect the negative battery cable, relieve the tank vapor pressure, remove the engine cover, then connect the J 34730-1A gauge to the fuel pressure connection, wrap a shop towel around the fitting while connecting the gauge to avoid spillage, install the bleed hose of the gauge into an approved container and bleed the system pressure then drain any fuel remaining in the gauge into an approved container.
