You can install the new swage ring, slide the half-shaft inboard seal, position the neck of the half-shaft inboard seal, the inboard end of the half-shaft assembly, align the swage ring, position the swaging ring, and check the gap dimension on the clamp ear.

You can disconnect the swage ring from the half shaft bar using a hand grinder to cut through the ring taking care not to damage the half shaft bar, remove the large seal retaining clamp, separate the inboard seal from the trilobal tripot bushing, slide the seal away from the joint along the half shaft bar, remove the housing, spread spacer ring, the spacer ring, remove the half shaft bar retaining ring, all traces of old grease and any contaminates, the trilobal tripot bushing from the housing, and the spacer ring.
