You can open the hood, remove the left front headlamp, the hood latch release cable from the latch mechanism, the front fender upper diagonal brace, the air cleaner, the hood release cable retainers from the engine compartment side rail, the hood latch release handle, and the hood latch release cable from the hood latch release handle.

You can tie the hood latch release cable to a wire or string, apply strip caulk sealer or equivalent to the grommet, install the hood latch release cable to the hood release handle, the hood release handle, the hood latch release cable retainers to the engine compartment side rail retainers, the air cleaner, the hood release cable, and close the hood.
