You can lubricate the new 0-ring seal with power steering fluid, install the new 0-ring seal onto the neck of the reservoir, and the reservoir, align the feet of the reservoir with the sides of the hydraulic pump housing and install the new reservoir retaining clips.

Q: What is the service and repair procedure for the power steering bleeding?
A:
The procedure is to remove the pump reservoir cap, fill the pump reservoir with fluid to the full cold level, attach J 43485 to J 35555 or equivalent, place J 43485 on or in the pump reservoir filler neck, apply a vacuum of 68 kPa (20 inch Hg) maximum, remove the J 43485 and the J 35555, reinstall the pump reservoir cap, and start the engine.

Q: How to remove the power steering fluid reservoir?
A:
You can place the hydraulic pump, insert a screwdriver into the retaining clip tab, use the screwdriver, force the retaining clip tab, slide the reservoir clip, repeat the above steps to remove the second reservoir clip, remove the reservoir, and the 0-ring seal from the neck of the reservoir.
