2001 Chevrolet Astro Fuel Sending Unit

You need to install the fuel level sensor and the fuel level sensor retaining clip. Then you can connect the fuel level sensor electrical connector, the fuel level sensor electrical connector retaining clip, and the fuel pump electrical connector. After that, you can install the fuel sender assembly.

You need to remove the fuel tank and disconnect the fuel sender electrical connectors. After disconnecting the fuel pipes, you can remove the fuel sender assembly and the seal. Then you can discard the seal and clean the fuel sender sealing surfaces.

You can install the new seal, the fuel sender assembly, and the fuel sender assembly retaining ring. Then you can connect the fuel pipes and the fuel sender electrical connectors. After that, you can install the fuel tank.

You need to remove the fuel sender assembly and disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector. Then you can remove the fuel level sensor electrical connector retaining clip, disconnect the fuel level sensor electrical connector, and remove the fuel level sensor retaining clip. Then you can squeeze the locking tangs and remove the fuel level sensor.
