Q: What is the service procedure for the fuel sender assembly?
A:
You need to remove the fuel sender assembly, disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel sender assembly, depress the retaining tab, slide the fuel level sensor assembly down to remove the sensor from the fuel sender assembly, remove the lower assembly end cap, remove the fuel pump cushion, disconnect the 2 fuel pump electrical connections from the fuel sender sub-assembly, pull the fuel pump firmly down out of the fuel sender assembly housing, release the 3 snap-fit retainers that secure the housing, remove the fuel tube and the 2 grommets.

You need to remove the fuel tank, disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel sender assembly, remove the clamp and the fuel vapor hose from the fuel vapor pipe on the fuel sender assembly, disconnect the quick-connect fuel return line and the quick-connect fuel feed line from the fuel sender assembly, remove the 6 screws that attach the fuel sender assembly to the fuel tank and the fuel sender assembly from the fuel tank.
