Q: How to adjust the stop lamp switch?
A:
You need to ensure that the stop lamp plunger is fully depressed against the brake pedal shanks, then insert the stop lamp switch and the cruise control switch (if equipped) into the brake pedal bracket, push the brake pedal forward to set the brake push rod into the booster, pull the brake pedal to the rear, against the internal stop. The stop lamp switch and cruise control switch will be adjusted. Finally, inspect the stop lamps for proper operation.
