You should connect the electrical connectors to the Body Control Module, align the tabs on the body control module with the slots in the mounting bracket, then install the right-side instrument panel insulator, connect the battery negative cable, and finally set up the BCMs customized options.
Q: How to adjust the stop lamp switch?
A:
You need to ensure that the stop lamp plunger is fully depressed against the brake pedal shanks, then insert the stop lamp switch and the cruise control switch (if equipped) into the brake pedal bracket, push the brake pedal forward to set the brake push rod into the booster, pull the brake pedal to the rear, against the internal stop. The stop lamp switch and cruise control switch will be adjusted. Finally, inspect the stop lamps for proper operation.
