Q: How to relieve the fuel pressure properly?
A:
You need to disconnect the negative battery terminal, remove the fuel pressure connection valve cap, install the J 34730-262 to the fuel pressure connection, connect the J 34730-1A to the fuel pressure connection, then install the bleed hose into an approved container and open the valve to bleed the system pressure, drain any fuel remaining in the fuel pressure gauge into an approved container, then remove the J 34730-1A and install the fuel pressure port cap.

Q: How to remove the fuel pressure regulator?
A:
You need to relieve the fuel system pressure, disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line, remove the fuel pressure regulator retaining screw, remove the fuel pressure regulator from the fuel rail, remove the retainer and spacer bracket from the rail and discard, and remove the fuel pressure regulator from the engine fuel return pipe, then remove the fuel pressure regulator inlet O-ring and discard.
