You need to raise and support the vehicle, remove the connecting rod nut from the pitman's arm, separate the connecting rod from the pitman's arm, remove the Pitman Arm nut and washer and the pitman's arm, clean the threads on the ball stud and the ball stud nut, and inspect the ball stud threads and the ball stud seals.

You need to make preparations to catch any fluid that drains out of the connections, disconnect the Power Steering Hose connections, cap the power steering hoses and cooler ends, disconnect the power steering pipe connections, cap the power steering pipes and cooler ends, and remove the nuts and the cooler.

You need to raise the front of the vehicle, place safety stands under the control arms, remove the tire and wheel assembly, disconnect the tie rod, remove the front brake caliper, the hub/rotor, the Steering Knuckle seal, and the three bolts that attach the splash shield to the knuckle, separate the upper and the lower ball joint studs, and remove the wheel speed sensor and the knuckle.
