2001 GMC Savana 1500 Mass Air Flow Sensor

You need to turn OFF the ignition, remove the engine cover, disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector, and remove the MAP sensor and the MAP sensor grommet.

You need to disconnect the battery negative cable, remove the engine cover and the air cleaner intake duct, disconnect the electrical connectors, remove the vacuum brake booster hose and the PCV tube at the Intake Manifold, disconnect the spark plug wires, remove the fuel pipes, the AIR bypass hose assembly, the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve, the accelerator control cable and the cruise control cable, the accelerator control cable bracket and the upper intake manifold bolts, and clean all sealing surfaces.

You need to unclip the air cleaner assembly end cover clips, remove the air cleaner cover from the air cleaner assembly, and remove the element.
