FAQ for Intake Manifold Gasket Repair

Q: What should be noticed when you service the intake manifold gasket?
A:
All °W° cars and °H° cars require a total of 16 grams of coolant sealant pellets per vehicle engine cooling system. The Buick Park Avenue (°C° car) requires 20 grams of coolant sealant pellets per vehicle engine cooling system.

Q: What is the correction for coolant, milky-colored oil?
A:
You can thoroughly check for any external leaks. If no external leaks are found, then replace the intermediate intake manifold gasket and the throttle body gasket. When changing the throttle body gasket, the nuts that retain the throttle body should be replaced with a new design that improves torque retention. A medium-strength thread locker should be applied to the studs before installing the new nuts.

Q: What should you be careful about when I remove the vehicle radiator cap?
A:
You should be careful not to remove the radiator cap or surge tank cap while the engine is hot to avoid being burned. The cooling system will release scalding fluid and steam under pressure if the radiator cap or surge tank cap is removed while the engine's arid radiator is still hot.
