Q: What's the recommended torque for the front automatic transmission mount?
A:
The recommended torque is to remove the front Transmission Mount bracket, raise and support the vehicle, remove the nut securing the front transmission mount to the frame, lower the vehicle then remove the front transmission mount.
Q: Why didn't the unit come with a tank heater?
A:
The vast majority of dealerships do not require a heater to keep the ATF above 18°C (65°F). As a result, the heater was deleted as a cost-saving measure. A tank heater, J 45096-10, is currently available from Kent-Moore if your dealership requires it. You can refer to Corporate Bulletin Number 03-07-30-002A for suggestions on warming the ATF without using a heater blanket.
Q: How do you remove the automatic transmission range selector cable?
A:
You can set the parking brake and chock the wheels, fully lift the retainer from the transaxle range selector cable mechanism, disconnect the transaxle range selector cable terminal from the transaxle manual shift lever pin, press the locking tabs inward to release the transaxle range selector cable from the bracket, remove the left closeout/insulator panel, remove the retaining clip from the range selector cable, remove the range selector cable from the column control lever, remove the range selector cable from the steering column bracket and remove the range selector cable through the hole in the cowl.
