Q: How to install the body control module?
A:
You need to push the top of the BCM up into the mounting bracket to install the BCM, engage the bottom of the BCM into the mounting bracket slot, connect the BCM electrical connectors, install the left instrument panel insulator, and set up the new BCM.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the body control module?
A:
You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the left instrument panel insulator, push the BCM up and move the bottom of the BCM away from and out of the mounting bracket slot to remove the BCM.

Q: What is the procedure after programming?
A:
You need to turn the ignition OFF for 10 seconds, connect the scan tool to the data link connector, turn the ignition ON with the engine OFF, retrieve History DTCs from all modules, and clear all history DTCs.

Q: What is the procedure to set up the new BCM?
A:
You need to connect a Tech 2 to the DLC, turn the ignition switch ON, select °Diagnostics° and the correct vehicle, select °Body° and then °Body Control Module°, °Special Functions° and °New VIN°, input all required data, exit back to the °Special Functions° menu, and select °BCM Reprogramming°, select °Setup BCM° soft-key on the scan tool, the scan tool will display °Now setting up the new Body Control Module° and °Body Control Module setup is complete°, and proceed with the procedure Programming Theft Deterrent System Components in Theft Deterrent.
