You need to disconnect the swage ring, remove and discard the large seal retaining clamp, separate the inboard seal, slide the seal away, remove the housing, spread the spacer ring, slide the spacer ring and the tripot joint spider back, remove the half shaft bar retaining ring, slide tripot joint spider assembly, clean the tripot joint spider assembly and the housing, remove all traces of old grease, any contaminates, trilobal tripot bushing and the spacer ring and the seal, and inspect the inboard seal, the tripot joint spider assembly, the housing and the trilobal tripot bushing.
