A:
You can remove the engine left side valve rocker arm cover, the engine right side valve rocker arm cover, the upper and lower intake manifolds, the valve rocker arms and pushrods, the oil splash shield, the lifter guide bolts, the lifter guide, then remove the lifter(s) and clean and inspect the valve lifter(s).

The installation procedure is to install the lifters and the lifter guide, the valve rocker arms and pushrods, the lower intake manifold, the upper intake manifold, the engine right side valve rocker arm cover, and the engine left side valve rocker arm cover.
