2003 GMC Sierra 3500 Oil Filler Tube

You can install the oil level indicator tube, and the indicator tube nut, remove the plugs from the transmission oil cooler line fittings, install the exhaust pipe hanger bracket and bolts, the insulator and nuts to the bracket, the transmission crossmember, and fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXRON-III transmission fluid.

The recommended bolt torque is 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

You can remove the transmission oil level indicator, support the transmission using a suitable jack, remove the transmission mount nut, the transmission crossmember bolts/nuts, the transmission crossmember, the insulator nuts and insulator from the bracket, the exhaust pipe hanger bracket bolts and bracket, the indicator tube nut, the oil level indicator tube, and the seal from the transmission.
