A:
You should remove the push-in retainers holding the engine splash to the lower flange of the engine compartment side rail and then remove the engine splash shield from the lower flange of the engine compartment side rail.

Q: What is the proper way to install the front fender liner?
A:
The proper way is to position the fender liner to the fender, over the studs, and behind the rocker molding, install the nut to the stud at the rear of the front fender liner, install the nut to the stud at the front of the front fender liner and install the screws to the front fender liner at the front bumper fascia and fender.
