You should lubricate the new O-ring seal with power steering fluid, install the new O-ring seal onto the neck of the reservoir, install the reservoir onto the hydraulic pump assembly, align the feet of the reservoir with the sides of the hydraulic pump housing, then install the new reservoir retaining clips.

Q: How to disassemble the Power Steering Reservoir-Off Vehicle (CB Series)?
A:
You need to place the hydraulic pump on a fixed, flat surface, with the shaft facing upward, insert a screwdriver into the retaining clip tab, next use the screwdriver, force the retaining clip tab outward, and slide the reservoir clip away from the hydraulic pump assembly, and repeat the above steps to remove the second reservoir clip, then remove the reservoir from the hydraulic pump housing, remove and discard the O-ring seal from the neck of the reservoir or inside the hydraulic pump housing.
