Q: What is the removal procedure for the inlet surge tank hose/pipe?
A:
The procedure is to partially drain the cooling system, position J38185 to the clamp to remove the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank, position J38185 to the clamp to remove the surge tank inlet hose from the radiator, disconnect the air intake duct hoses from the throttle body assembly, position J38185 to the clamp to remove the surge tank inlet hose from the throttle body assembly, and then remove the surge tank inlet hose from the vehicle.

The proper way is to install the position J38185 to the clamp to connect the surge tank inlet hose to the throttle body assembly, connect the air intake duct hoses to the throttle body assembly, position J38185 to the clamp, connect the surge tank inlet hose to the radiator, position the surge tank inlet hose to the retaining feature of the air cleaner assembly, route the surge tank inlet hose under the hood assist rod support, position J38185 to the clamp, connect the surge tank inlet hose to the surge tank, and then fill the cooling system.
