The proper way is to install the Oil Pan bolts, the 3 lower transmission mounting bolts, the bolt securing transmission fluid cooler pipes brace, and the front frame, and then fill the engine oil.
Q: What is the removal procedure for the engine oil and oil filter?
A:
The procedure is to position the oil drain pan under the oil pan drain plug, remove the oil pan drain plug and allow the engine oil to drain, clean and inspect the oil pan drain plug, remove the Oil Filter cartridge housing drain plug and allow the engine oil to drain into the drain pan, remove the plastic cap from the oil filter cartridge housing, and then remove the oil filter cartridge from the plastic cap.

You should grasp the oil level indicator tube firmly, pull the oil level indicator tube upward from the engine block, and then remove the O-ring seals from the oil level indicator tube.
