The proper way is to install the power steering gear mounting bolts, install the power steering return hose to the steering gear retaining bolt, install the stabilizer shaft, install the power steering gear pressure and return hoses to the power steering gear, install the front air deflector, and then install the tire and wheels.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the power steering gear?
A:
The procedure is to remove the front tires and wheels, remove the front air deflector, remove the outer tie rod retaining nuts, remove the stabilizer shaft, remove the power steering gear pressure and return hoses from the power steering gear, remove the power steering return hose retaining bolt from the power steering gear, remove the power steering gear mounting bolts, and then remove the power steering gear through the right wheel opening.

A:
The procedure is to remove the tire and wheel, remove the intermediate shaft lower pinch bolt, remove the outer tie rod, remove the power steering gear retaining bolts, remove the jam nut from the inner tie rod, remove the rack and pinion boot outer clamp, and then remove the rack and pinion boot.

The proper way is to install the rack and pinion boot, install a new rack and pinion boot inner clamp, install the rack and pinion boot outer clamp, install the jam nut to the inner tie rod, install the outer tie rod, and then install the tire and wheel.
