You need to place the steering column shift lever back into the park position, raise the vehicle, ensure that the transmission manual shaft lever is in the park position, pull the white cover back, push the end of the transmission end inside the shifter end, release the transmission end and allow the spring to tension/adjust the cable system, pull the white cover, push the natural colored lock button, release the white cover, and verify the white cover conceals the natural colored lock.
