Q: What is the service procedure if the ECM ground terminal is corroded?
A:
You need to remove either the nut or bolt securing the main engine wiring harness ground terminal to the right cylinder head, remove all rust from the ground terminal, the cylinder head, and the retaining nut or bolt, and position the main engine wiring harness ground terminal and install the nut or bolt, and apply some type of electrical moisture sealant to protect the harness terminal from further corrosion.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the powertrain control module (PCM)?
A:
You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, release the PCM cover mounting tabs and the PCM cover from the mounting brackets, and remove the PCM cover. You also need to loosen the PCM electrical connector bolts, disconnect the PCM electrical connectors, release the spring latch from the PCM, release the PCM mounting tabs from the PCM, and remove the PCM.
