A:
You should not reuse the crankshaft oil seal or front cover gasket, or apply any type of sealant to the front cover gasket unless specified. The special tool in this procedure is used to properly center the front crankshaft's front oil seal.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the engine front cover?
A:
You need to remove the water pump, the crankshaft balancer, the oil pan-to-front cover bolts, the front cover bolts, and the front cover and gasket, discard the front cover gasket, and clean and inspect the engine front cover.
