You can turn the steering wheel far enough to the left to gain access to the upper-to-lower intermediate shaft bolts, place the ignition in the locked position, remove the upper-to-lower intermediate shaft bolts, and remove the steering column and the upper intermediate steering shaft.

A:
The installation procedure is to insert the upper intermediate steering shaft through the intermediate shaft seal, install the steering column, slide the lower intermediate shaft over the upper intermediate shaft, and install the lower to upper intermediate shaft retaining bolts.
