Q: What is the disassembly procedure for the wheel drive shaft inner joint and seal?
A:
The procedure is to cut through the swage ring, remove the tripot housing, wipe the grease off of the housing, remove the small boot retaining clamp, clean the half shaft bar, and then inspect the needle rollers, needle bearings, and trunnion.

A:
The proper way is to place the new small seal clamp, inspect the gap dimension on the clamp ear, and install the convolute retainer tool, the tripot spider assembly, the spacer ring, and the top half of the J-36652-01.
