Q: How do you install the Accumulator?
A:
If replacing the accumulator, add refrigerant oil to the accumulator. You need to install the accumulator to the mounting bracket, tighten the accumulator bracket bolt clamp, install the accumulator, the accumulator bracket retaining bolt, and the new O-ring seals onto the A/C compressor hose and the accumulator hose, connect the accumulator hose onto the accumulator, tighten the accumulator hose nut. Connect the A/C compressor hose to the accumulator, install the A/C compressor hose nut onto the accumulator and the air cleaner assembly, evacuate and recharge the A/C system, and leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A.

Q: How do you remove the Accumulator?
A:
You need to recover the refrigerant, remove the air cleaner assembly, loosen the accumulator hose nut from the accumulator, disconnect the accumulator hose from the accumulator, remove the A/C compressor hose block fitting nut from the accumulator, disconnect the A/C compressor hose from the accumulator and remove the accumulator bracket retaining bolt, the accumulator bracket bolt clamp and the accumulator from the mounting bracket.
