You need to use tape to protect the mounting surface during removal and tape for alignment marks for installation of the molding.

01/11/2022Q: How do you install the Molding-Body Side?
A:
You need to clean the area where the molding will be installed, use a lint-free cloth and varnish makers and painters (VMP) naphtha or a 50/50 mixture by volume of isopropyl alcohol and water to clean the area, dry the area thoroughly, apply tape and mark the location as shown, heat the mounting surface to approximately 27-41°C (80-105°F) and ensure that the temperature of the molding is approximately 29-32°C (85-90°F), and then remove the protective liner from the back of the molding, position the molding to the location marks and press the molding to the mounting surface, apply equal pressure along the molding to uniformly bond the item to the mounting surface and remove the protective tape from the mounting surface.
