You need to disconnect the spark plug wire from the number 6 cylinder spark plug and remove the oil level indicator, the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt, and the oil level indicator tube.

Q: How do you install the Oil Level Indicator and Tube?
A:
You need to clean the oil level indicator tube, apply sealant around the oil level indicator tube 12.7 mm (0.50 inch) below the bead by using GM sealant P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or the equivalent, install the oil level indicator tube into the engine block, the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt and the oil level indicator and then connect the spark plug wire to the number 6 cylinder spark plug.
