You need to drain the cooling system, remove the left spark plug wires, the thermostat bypass hose and the pipe, the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve from the left valve rocker arm cover, the left valve rocker arm cover bolts, the left valve rocker arm cover and the left valve rocker arm cover gasket and clean the valve rocker arm cover and the valve rocker arm cover gasket mating surfaces.

The recommended torque is 10 Nm (89-inch lbs.).

Q: How do you install the Valve Rocker Arm Cover-Left?
A:
You need to apply sealant at the cylinder head to the lower intake manifold joint at the rear of the lower intake manifold, apply sealant at the cylinder head to the lower intake manifold joint at the front of the lower intake manifold, install a new left valve rocker arm cover gasket, the left valve rocker arm cover, the left valve rocker arm cover bolts, the PCV valve to the left valve rocker arm cover, the thermostat bypass pipe and the left spark plug wires, fill the cooling system and inspect for leaks.
