You should disconnect the battery negative cable, raise and support the vehicle, remove the torque converter cover, disconnect the battery positive cable from the starter, disconnect the wire from the solenoid S terminal on the starter, remove the 2 starter motor mounting bolts and remove the starter motor.

You should install the starter motor and the starter motor mounting bolts, connect the battery positive cable to the starter, connect the starter motor S terminal wire, install the torque converter cover, lower the vehicle and connect the battery negative cable.

You should always use replacement cables that are of the same type, diameter, and length as the cables that you are replacing and always route the replacement cable the same way as the original cable.
Q: How do I install the generator?
A:
You should position the generator on the engine, install the generator mounting bolts, connect the wiring harness connector to the generator, connect the positive lead and install the generator output BAT terminal nut, press the protective boot onto the generator output BAT terminal, install the generator brace and fasteners, install the fuel injector sight shield, install the drive belt and connect the battery negative cable.
