You should dip the valve lifters in preluke GM P/N 12345501 (Canadian P/N 992704) or the equivalent, install the valve lifters, install the valve lifter guides, install the valve guide retainer, install the lower intake manifold and gaskets and install the valve rocker arms, pushrods, and the pedestals.
