2005 Buick Park Avenue Timing Chain

The recommended torque is 100 N.m (74 lb-ft).

First, you need to turn the crankshaft so that the number one piston is at the top dead center and turn the camshaft so that the timing mark is straight down with the sprocket temporarily installed. Then, please assemble the timing chain on the sprockets. Finally, you should install the timing chain and the crankshaft sprocket, the camshaft sprocket, the timing chain dampener, and the engine front cover.

First, you need to remove the engine front cover and align the timing marks on the timing sprockets. Then, please remove the timing chain dampener and the camshaft sprocket. Finally, you should remove the timing chain, and clean and inspect the timing chain and sprockets.
