You should raise and suitably support the vehicle, remove the frame brace, the spare tire assembly, the rear axle tie rod, the rear axle brace, and the shock absorber lower mounting bolts and move aside, the right rear coil spring and the nuts that secure the Muffler to the catalytic converter, separate the exhaust system from the exhaust hanger insulators and remove the muffler assembly.
Q: How to remove the Catalytic Converter Heat Shield?
A:
You should raise the vehicle and then remove the 5 bolts securing the heat shield to the floor panel studs and the heat shield from the vehicle.
Q: How to remove the Exhaust System Insulator, Hanger, and Bracket (Converter to Transmission)?

You should raise the vehicle, disconnect the heated oxygen sensor (H2OS) electrical connector, remove the nuts that secure the catalytic converter pipe to the exhaust manifold, discard the old exhaust seal and remove the nuts that secure the catalytic converter pipe to the muffler, the bolt securing the exhaust hanger to the transmission mount, the transmission mount, the catalytic converter and exhaust hanger assembly from the vehicle and the exhaust hanger from the catalytic converter.
