Q: How to service the Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure?
A:
You should remove the fuel tank cap and relieve the fuel system pressure before servicing the fuel system to reduce the risk of personal injury. Then, you should remove the fuel pump relay from the junction box, crank the engine, allow the engine to start and stall, crank the engine for an additional 3 seconds to ensure the relief of any remaining fuel pressure, disconnect the negative battery cable to avoid re-pressurizing the fuel system, install the fuel pump relay to the junction box and tighten the fuel filler cap.
