Q: How to remove the Transfer Case Motor/Encoder?
A:
You should first raise the vehicle, remove the fuel tank shield, disconnect the motor/encoder electrical connector, remove the motor/encoder mounting bolts and the motor/encoder assembly, position the motor on a workbench, release the 4 tabs that retain the motor/encoder plastic baseplate, remove the baseplate/gasket, discard the old baseplate/gasket, gently lift the motor/encoder rotary position sensor from the motor shaft and then disconnect the rotary position sensor from the wiring harness.

A:
You should install the transfer case control module to the mounting bracket, connect the three electrical connectors to the transfer case control module, install the transfer case control module and mounting bracket to the instrument panel mag beam, the left side closeout/insulator panel, and the access panel and program the Transfer Case Shift Control Module.
Q: How to remove the Transfer Case Input Shaft Seal?
A:
You should raise the vehicle, remove the transfer case assembly, insert a flat-bladed screwdriver between the input shaft seal and the transfer case, pry the front input shaft seal from the transfer case and remove the front input shaft seal.
Q: How to remove the Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal - Front?
A:
You should raise the vehicle, remove the front propeller shaft and the dust shield from the front output shaft, lightly tap the screwdriver around the edge of the front output shaft seal, pry the front out shaft seal from the transfer case and remove the front output shaft seal from the transfer case.
