Q: What is the removal procedure for the electronic brake control module (EBCM)?
A:
The procedure is to turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, clean the EBCM to brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) area of any accumulated dirt and foreign material, disengage the electrical connector position assurance (CPA) locking tab, depress the cover lock tab, disconnect the electrical harness connector, remove the 4 EBCM-to-BPMV retaining bolts and separate the EBCM from the BPMV.

Q: How do you install the electronic brake control module (EBCM)?
A:
You can clean the sealing surface of the BPMV, clean the seal and sealing surface of the EBCM, install the EBCM to the BPMV, install the 4 EBCM-to-BPMV retaining bolts, connect the electrical harness connector, depress the cover lock tab, engage the electrical connector CPA locking tab to the connector sliding cover lock tab and perform the Diagnostic System Check.
