Q: How do you install the oil pan?
A:
You can ensure that the oil pan and mounting surface on the lower crankcase are free of all oil and debris, apply a 2 mm bead of RTV GM P/N United States 12346286, GM P/N Canada 10953472 around the perimeter of the oil pan and the oil suction port opening, install the oil pan, install the oil pan bolts, install the AC compressor bolts, install the engine mount strut bracket and bolts, install the engine mount strut bracket, install the engine splash shield, lower the vehicle and fill the engine oil to the proper level.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the oil pan?
A:
The procedure is to raise the vehicle, drain the engine oil, remove the engine splash shield, the engine mount strut bracket, the engine mounts strut bracket bolts and bracket and the lower AC compressor bolt, loosen the upper AC compressor bolts, remove the oil pan bolts and remove the oil pan.
