FAQ for Brake Master Cylinder Bleeder Tool Repair

Q: What should be noticed in the master cylinder bench bleeding?
A:
When adding fluid to the brake master cylinder reservoir, use only Delco Supreme II, GM P/N 12377967 (Canadian P/N 992667), or equivalent DOT-3 brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. The use of any type of fluid other than the recommended type of brake fluid may cause contamination which could result in damage to the internal rubber seals and/or rubber linings of hydraulic brake system components.

Q: How to handle it when the brake pedal still feels spongy after repeating the bleeding procedure?
A:
You need to inspect the brake system for external leaks, and then pressure bleed the hydraulic brake system to purge any air that may still be trapped in the system.

Q: When should you perform the automated bleed procedure?
A:
First, when the base brake system bleeding does not achieve the desired pedal height or feel. Second, when extreme loss of brake fluid has occurred. And, when air ingestion is suspected in the secondary circuits of the brake modulator assembly.
