Q: How to remove the engine control module (ECM)?
A:
You need to use a scan tool, retrieve the percentage of remaining engine oil, disconnect the negative battery cable, then remove the engine control module (ECM) cover, disconnect the body wiring harness electrical connector from the ECM, disconnect the engine harness electrical connectors from the ECM, then disengage the side retaining tab to release the ECM from the bracket.

You should install the ECM to the bracket until the ECM snaps into place, connect the engine harness electrical connectors to the ECM, then connect the body wiring harness electrical connector to the ECM, install the ECM cover, connect the negative battery cable, and program the ECM.
