A:
The proper way is to install the pinion yoke, install the washer and a new pinion nut, install the J 8614-01 onto the pinion yoke as shown, install the propeller shaft, and then install the brake drums.

The procedure is to remove the rear brake drums, remove the propeller shaft, remove the pinion nut while holding the J 8614-01, remove the washer, remove the pinion yoke by turning the J 8614-3, and then remove the pinion oil seal.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the drive pinion bearings?
A:
The procedure is to remove the differential carrier assembly, remove the drive pinion from the axle, remove the shim, remove the outer pinion bearing cup from the axle housing using a hammer and a brass drift in the slots provided, and then remove the inner pinion bearing cup from the axle housing using a hammer and a brass drift in the slots provided.

A:
The procedure is to remove the Engine Protection Shield (EPS), remove the front propeller shaft, remove the brake calipers, remove the pinion nut while holding the J 8614-01, remove the pinion yoke clockwise while holding the J 8614-01, remove the oil seal using a suitable seal removal tool, and then remove the dust deflector from the pinion yoke using a soft-faced hammer.
