The procedure is to remove the endgate cover, remove the latch rods from the retaining clips, remove the support cable from the endgate striker bolt by sliding the cable forward and off the striker bolt head, remove the bolts retaining the latch/support cable assembly to the endgate, and then remove the latch assembly from the endgate.
